Such a very long time without posting...

It has been a very long time that I post anything. Things have been hectic that for some time breeding and showing angoras had to be put on the back burner. However, one of the last shows we attended was in 2018. We won a Best In Show with "Matilda". My son, Dontavious was very happy to help me show her. I am excited to mention that after a year hiatus, Matilda was finally bred and delivered 5 fat babies. Other does are bred and delivering babies, too. I am hopeful that they all do well and develop nice so that we can show sometime in the near future. The Covid-19 Pandemic has put a standstill on all shows and other public gatherings. Be safe!

Highlights from Kileen, Texas Show

I arrived late at the show on Saturday. I don't have any rabbits in coats to show, but I enjoyed meeting my friends and had a wonderful time.

My friend, Kelly Flading, reported we had 27 Open Angoras and 7 youth rabbits. This was one huge show for the Angoras!

Here are two judges evaluating some angora rabbits.

Sayuri, Senior Doe getting ready for a haircut.

When my show animals retire, they will either have babies or provide lots of wool for spinning. Sayuri is a very nice doe. I am hoping to get her bred soon. In the mean time, I am about to collect lots of wool from her to spin.

I have a pair of German Angoras I will use for my fiber work.

Here is a beautiful German Doe I got from my good friend, Rosalie of Excuisitely Angoras.
